Across the Grand Teton range from Jackson Hole lies the little resort of Grand Targhee.
Although little is a misnomer, with 2,605 acres of terrain and a cat ski operation, this resort is a must visit for every powder hound!
Don’t expect night life (there’s one pub), shopping (there’s one shop) or luxurious accommodation (there are 3 lodges and a few condo’s).
Do expect incredible snow, no lift lines and multiple fresh tracks, days after the last snowfall! When you get bored of shredding the resort, cat skiing operates just out of bounds from the resort, to give you even more fresh tracks. A day of cat skiing costs around US$ 400 - the worlds cheapest fresh you'll find.
Combined with a trip to Jackson Hole or Big Sky, Grand Targhee is an must do!
