CYCLE CROATIA - Pedal the Dalmatian Coast beside the sparkling Adriatic, cypress forests and olive groves

Pop on your helmet and cycle along the stunning coastlines and the hilly outcrops of the Dalmatian Coast on this seven-day cycling adventure. Ride to islands of olive groves and cypress forests to sparkling beaches and wander romantic cities full of history.

Croatia is the perfect setting for an idyllic island escape and how better to explore than on a bicycle? Wander Hvar’s cobbled lanes, Korcula’s small town streets, Split’s harbour esplanade and Dubrovnik’s medieval walls.

Explore Hvar Island at your own pace, take an optional wine tasting experience, watch the sunset over the harbour and ride to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stari Grad Plain. Croatia has so much beauty to see, so why not see it all up close, on two wheels?

MAD TIPS

- While the cycling distances on this trip aren’t too long (the longest ride is only 50 km) the terrain of the Dalmatian Coast is naturally hilly and the climate often warm. You’ll need a reasonable level of fitness to enjoy the trip but remember we will always have the support vehicle on hand if you need to take a break for an hour or a day.

-  Bike helmets are compulsory on this trip, please ensure you bring your own bike helmet.

As your riding is done mostly on sealed roads with the occasional gravel cycle path there are no technical cycling skills required. Given there will be hills, we do suggest practicing riding downhill so you are comfortable with this once the trip begins.

Cycle South Australia's Wine Regions - is there a better way to enjoy South Australia's renowned wine country than on a bicycle?

Just a short distance from cosmopolitan Adelaide, this is a region well known for its natural beauty, welcoming people and of course delicious red and white wines.

This cycling trip takes in the best of it at a pace set to enjoy rather than race. Get started in the very heart of vibrant Adelaide, one of the world's most liveable cities, then transport out to the nearby yet distinct wine regions.

From the Barossa Valley – home of Australia's best-known red wine – to the northern Clare Valley (ripe for a drop of Riesling), south to the birthplace of South Australia's wine industry, McLaren Vale, and west to the stunning Glenelg Beach, it’s not just the wine that is diverse. The varied scenery, easy network of cycling paths, and support vehicle make this a trip for every rider.
