Crested Butte was locally owned until recently and is due for some serious investment as it has been acquired by Vail resorts.  It still keeps its local vibe and offers an amazing experience with some amazing terrain, suitable for all types of skiers with a ski in/ski out base village. The town is a wild west mining tow just across the valley from the ski resort.

MAD TIPS

Crested Butte combines really well with both Telluride and Aspen, but it's almost a polar opposite in atmosphere. For a complete holiday we recommend doing a week at each of these resorts.
