Cat skiing is the ultimate option for those on a budget who want an incredible powder experience.

Much like Heliskiing, Cat skiing is all about getting epic fresh powder lines run after run after run.

Unlike Heli skiing, cat skiing can operate in any weather and most snow conditions. Cat skiing was invented in British Columbia and remains the center of the best cat skiing in the world.

An average day usually consists of breakfast at the cat ski base, then a bit of safety training ( if you're doing a day cat ski experience) then its into the cat for 4 or 5 really long runs' or 8 -10 shorter runs with lunch in the cat on the way back up to the top. then its back to the cat ski base for an apres ski snack to finish off the day.

Based out of Red Mountain resort Big Red cats have 700 runs over 8 peaks. They have enough Cats to be able to cater to Intermediate, expert or total powder hounds so you get to ski at your pace.

They have 10 modern, fast cats, and generally operate 5 cats per day, this means more runs per day!

With 58,000 acres of terrain and 200 km's of cat roads there is an abundance of terrain at Chatter creek.

Limited to 42 guests and guides fresh tracks are guaranteed.

With 4 or 5 day cat ski packages, snow mobiling or back country ski touring packages which include skiing ( snow mobiling), lodging, gourmet meals and helicopter transfer to the lodge

Located just South west of Fernie mountain resort, Fernie Wilderness adventures has over 5000 acres of ridges to drop off. With faces, gladed tree runs, powder bowls suited to intermediate and advanced powder hounds.

You can expect 8 - 10 runs each day in one of our three heated snow cats.

You can do a day trip on the cats or stay at The lodge and do a multi day trip.

MUSTANG POWDER CAT SKIING- Revelstoke

Mustang Powder receives the highest annual amount of powder of any cat ski operation in the world. This is an operation suited to advanced skiers who want to make the most of the 30,000 acres of terrain and ski some long lines.

Terrain ranges from alpine glacier skiing down to old growth tree skiing.
